When will I receive my order?
We only use natural ingredients in our products, and no preservatives. We want you to receive your items in their freshest state, and with the longest shelf life possible. Therefore, every order is made up as and when we receive it. This can mean that you have to wait for a few days for us to create your products, and you might not receive them for up to 7 working days. However, we endeavour to get your order out to you as soon as we possibly can, and normally it will be sooner than this. Unfortunately we can only ship to the UK & Ireland at this present time. If you have any special requests, or wish to make a large bulk order, then please contact us at info@birchandbay.co.uk

How do I use your massage candles?

Light the candle for desired time. (Bear in mind that the longer you leave it burning, the more massage oil will be produced).

Extinguish the flame and either dip your finger into the oil, or pour it into your hand. Once the flame is extinguished, the oil will be warm to apply to the skin, and never hot. This is because soy wax has a much lower melting temperature than traditional candle wax.

Massage the oil into your skin and lie back and relax whilst breathing in the calming aromas.

Do you only use natural ingredients?
Yes. Unlike mass produced candles & cosmetics, Birch and Bay don't use any additives or preservatives, and each product is handmade in small batches. We are proud of the fact that we source all of our ingredients from UK suppliers, and we make sure that each and every ingredient is ethically produced.

How did you decide which essential oils to use?
We have spent a lot of time researching the benefits and healing properties of essential oil before deciding which ones to use in each of our products. All of our creations have a unique and effective blend of essential oils that complement each other beautifully.
Is there anyone that should not use your products?
Our products are made using cosmetic grade ingredients, and every product (apart from our Aromatherapy Mists) has been approved as safe to use on the skin. However, essential oils are powerful little things, so we recommend that our products are not used on babies and children (and they should be kept out of their reach at all times). Some essential oils are unsafe to use during pregnancy, so please check with your doctor before using our products if you are, or think you could be, pregnant. We also recommend that you test the massage oil on a small patch of skin before first use. We cannot guarantee that our candles don't contain traces of nuts, so please bear this in mind.
NEVER leave a lit candle unattended.
Are Birch & Bay products safe for the environment?
Yes, all of our products contain no additives and only natural ingredients which are ethically produced. We use soy wicks in our candles that contain no lead or zinc. Please reuse or recycle our glass jars & bottles once they are empty.
